Jon Priest Stands Down as the Chief Executive Officer of Future Thinking Group

Jon Priest

Having successfully led the recent acquisition and subsequent integration of Gemseek, Future Thinking’s data driven insights business, Jon Priest is standing down as CEO of Future Thinking. He has accepted an invitation by the lead shareholder, Next Wave Partners LLP (‘NWP‘) to join the main investor board as a Non-Executive Director and will play an important role in supporting the strategic development of the group.

David Griffith, the current Chief Financial Officer, has been appointed Interim Chief Executive Officer.

Priest has been Group CEO of Future Thinking Group for eight years. He was appointed by NWP to that role in 2010 following the sale of the company he co-founded, SPA, to NWP. During his time, the business has grown by a factor of five times in revenue terms through a combination of acquisitions and organic growth. The group expects to reach revenues of approximately £27m for the current financial year. The Group employs over 300 people in six office locations across Europe.

According to Priest:

“I have enjoyed my time as Group CEO enormously and it has been a privilege to work with so many truly talented people. Now is the perfect time in my career to assume a different role while continuing to work closely with the investors. We believe that the market place will increasingly demand data and technology driven insights and one of my duties on the main investor board will be to help identify, nominate and recruit a successor who can lead the Group in that direction”.

Mark Bezerra Speeks, Chairman of Future Thinking Group, said:

“Jon has been instrumental in growing the business and ensuring that the Group is at the forefront of offering its customers data technology solutions as a core part of our added value insight offer. We are delighted that he has agreed to remain on the main investor board as a non-executive director and look forward to continuing our long-term working relationship with him”.
Priest assumes his new role in September upon his return from sabbatical.

Stephane Marder is Managing Director France, Glen Khouw is CEO Bulgaria, Petko Tinchev is Managing Director Bulgaria and Adele Gritten is UK Managing Director. They will join David Griffith and Sue Homeyard (Group MD Operations) on the Group Board.
